Book blogger information
Book bloggers are so important to authors, especially those of us who are independently published.

Why? Because you understand the genre better than anyone else and your reviews and critiques are vital in helping other readers decide whether they should invest their time and money on a book.

Whether you loved or hated a story. If there’s a big twist coming. If it kept you up reading into the small hours. If you couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.

Your reviews help to give us exposure during a launch and in return, you receive a free book from us that you get to read in advance of anyone else. It’s the perfect relationship!

I do understand you’re busy, though. There are so many books and only so many hours in the day. But if you do download an advanced copy of one of my books, I would expect in return you at least make the time to read it and leave a short review or critique.

Please note, due to cost, I am only able to provide digital review copies in the form of an epub file, which is readable on ereaders and tablets.

Where should I post my review?

Ideally, your review would appear in at least one, if not more, of these platforms:

-
Amazon
-
Social media (Instagram / Facebook / Tik Tok / You Tube)
-
Goodreads
-
An online blog
-

However, whatever you do (and I’m sure you don’t need reminding) please NO SPOILERS! There’s nothing more guaranteed to kill sales than a reviewer giving away the twist.
It’s happened to me more than once and it’s absolutely infuriating.
What happens now I’ve signed up the AJ Wills bloggers alert?

If you’ve signed up to my exclusive bloggers alert list, you’ll receive notifications from me when I have a new book coming out, with an option to download an advanced reader copy.

Where can I find a cover image?

When I send you a download link to one of my novels, I’ll usually provide a link to an ‘asset library’ of images you can use, free of charge, on your blogs which will include images of the cover plus book and ereader mock-ups.
For example, for my thriller The Secrets We Keep, I made this library of assets available to everyone who wanted to leave a review.

Do I need to post on social media?

As well as posting your reviews on Amazon, one of the most helpful ways of spreading the word about a new book – and your work as a blogger – is on social media.

I know it’s not for everyone, but you don’t need to reveal anything about yourself if you don’t want to.

Just use a cover of the book you’re reviewing and the words from your review.
However, please tag me into any social media posts as I love to see them and I like to share them with my followers.

What about reviews of your previously published books?

Review copies of my earlier novels are still available to bloggers.

Although, they might have been out for a while, reviews are still important though and I would ask you treat the book as you would a new release, leaving an honest review on Amazon, at the very least.
